This is a core principle with frequency spectrum matching. It will sound bad during matching but the result will be an amp spectrum to amp spectrum match that can take IRs. If you have a physical amp to model, IMHO, the best method to Amp Match is to feed it to a load box without any speaker or mic sim and then amp match it to a closely matched Bias amp that also has the cab sim turned off. Again, it is no longer accurate to the source model but if you are just looking for pleasant sounds it can work/be fun. sometimes this actually takes some of the 'cabbiness' out of the result because the base model sound is amp-only and it deemphasizes some the extremeness of the matched EQ curve. You can actually mix the original (BiAS Amp) model that was used as the basis for the match back in. One thing you can mess with if you are inclined, is that there is a 'mix' control (can't remember the exact name it is rightmost knob) on the amp match block. It would just be dumb luck if switching the cab worked in a pleasant way and it certainly wouldn't be accurate to the sound of the amp that was matched if it were paired with the cab represented by the new IR. They are all intertwined at the time of measurement and there is no separating them.

Probably not what you were hoping to hear, but I think that's just the way the cookie crumbles with bias.Ĭlick to expand. The amp matches tend to not sound good with different cabs in general because unless the match is shot without the speakers disabled on both devices, it'll not only account for the spectrum differences between the amps but also the spectrum differences of the speakers and mics. However, when the matchups work, it can sound great.but my aggravation eventually outweighed my satisfaction and my interest faded Sometimes I feel that BIAS exaggerates things to the point that it can be unusable imo. Rarely are there any subtle changes.everything seems extremely different sonically from one option to the next.which is not what I experience in the real word using real gear. I can get great sounds out of my fully loaded BA2, but I find that the majority of amp and cab options do not sound good together. Out of all of my guitar amp sim plugins, Bias amp sims are the only ones that don't play nice with all of the program's built in cab IRs.and I'm not talking about little sonic differences between amps and cabs, the matchups either sound good, or they sound absolutely terrible to the point of being unusable. Your not alone, I haven't used BA2 in a while but I remember noticing similar issues.
AMP MATCH BIAS AMP 2 HELP PASSWORD
We have opened a discussion thread in the Pub section discussing this. We will include a very detailed password checklist.Ĭlick to expand. We want to highly recommend that members turn on and use TGP's two-factor authentication option. We highly recommend every member reading this change their passwords as a precaution. We have forced email revalidation for all members that have not signed on for a while. None of the accounts compromised were using two-factor authentication. Talking to one member as I am working through getting his account back in order, he informed me that his Apple password manager had been compromised and made available on the dark web. In today's world, that is false confidence you can no longer afford.Įvery account that I've restored so far to the original owner was using compromised passwords. It is heartbreaking to see that the lure of saving some money will still fool people into using those methods to save a few dollars. Unfortunately, we cannot control how members do deals. However, the best way to prevent this is for members to exercise proper password hygiene (which I'll detail below), turn on two-factor authentication, and - I implore every single person here - only use payment methods that have buyer protection. We've made security changes that I don't want to detail here to stop them.

They have scammed members in the Emporiums by creating ads with stolen photos and requesting Paypal F&F or Venmo exclusively for payment. Some fraudsters have compromised TGP accounts have in the past few days.
